The all new eCS 2, Electronic Bicycle Locker utilizes a highly economical electronic system that a llows the user to open and close the lockers electronically at the point of purchase using only a cellular phone, and does not require the use of any digital keys, smart cards, credit cards, tokens, or other devices.

- The ability of a member to reserve a bicycle locker ahead of time via the internet at any time and in any location where the eCS lockers are installed to ensure a bicycle locker is waiting for the member upon his/her arrival.
- Ability to mix and match solid and perforated sheet steel panels depending on the customer’s requirements. Solid sheet steel panels are standard 16 gauge sheet steel with optional 14 or 12 gauge sheet steel available. Perforated sheet steel panels are 12 gauge (Note: door panels are always perforated on the eCS).
- A rugged, and separate 12 gauge tubular door frame to ensure the locker remains square in the field and resists vandalism. Lockers without separate door frames shall not qualify.
- A door panel that is steel reinforced at its edges to resist prying and maintain rigidity to ensure proper functioning.
- A proprietary, patent pending, heavy duty gas shock operated latching system that utilizes a trunk latch system that meets U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 401) and is unsurpassed for innovation, strength, and integrity.
- A gas shock operated door that does not have any external handles, locks or other protrusions.
- A latch and locked system that is self-locking and means the locker is always locked-even when it is available for bike storage.
- A two coat powder coating process consisting of a rust and corrosion inhibiting primer coat followed by a graffiti resistant T.G.I.C. polyester powder coat topcoat.

| The lockers shall have an electronic lock and mechanical latch system as described below
- The system shall accommodate use of an electronic keypad that has the ability to open 16 individual doors.
- The system shall be capable of being powered by rechargeable and replaceable 12-volt lithium batteries.
- The system shall not require any digital keys, credit cards, smart cards or other lock opening devices at the point of purchase.
- The system shall recognize and correspond with valid members using a remote central computer that recognizes members by their cellular phone numbers.
- The system shall allow valid members access to available bicycle lockers via a cellular phone call.
- The system shall have individual keypad computers that are in sync with a remote central computer database via algorithms and Zurich time.
- The system shall enable the remote central database to provide a valid five-digit combination that can be used to open any available bicycle locker in the system.
- The system shall have electronic components and the mechanical parts that can be removed without any special tooling.
- The system shall have locks that have two locked states: 1) An “available” locked state where any valid member can open the locker, and 2) A “secured” locked state where only the valid member who last secured the locker using his/her five digit combination can open the locker using the same five digit combination.
- The system shall not allow persons without cellular phone numbers recognized by the remote central computer database to open any of the lockers at any time.
- The system shall be capable of being operated in a traditional assigned locker mode where members are assigned specific lockers if the customer so desires.
- The system shall be capable of maintaining a detailed audit trail for at least the last 2,000 transactions for each locker in the system.
- The system shall incorporated components that can withstand temperatures between -40 ° to 160 ° Fahrenheit.
